Detective Sergeant J. Garcia
Detective Sgt. J. Garcia graduated the Basic Law Enforcement Training in 2004. Detective Garcia worked with Fayetteville Police Department and with the Spring Lake Police Department before becoming a member of the Raeford Police Department. Sgt. Garcia is a member of the Criminal Investigation Division for the Raeford Police Department; furthermore, Sgt. Garcia is a member of the Hoke/Raeford Emergency Response Team. As a member of the Criminal Investigation Division, Sgt. Garcia investigates Crimes Against Property, Crimes Against Persons, and Financial Crimes.
Sgt. Garcia has attended several training sessions and classes that included Radar, Field Training Officer, Arrest and Seizure, Community Policing, First Line Supervisor, Search Warrant Writing, Death Investigation, Child Death Investigation, Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault Investigation, Financial Crimes Investigation, Suicide Investigation, Police Law Institute, Drug Enforcement for Patrol Officers, Child Abduction Investigation, Fundamentals of the Investigative Process, and Public Speech. Sgt. Garcia is a graduate from Fayetteville Technical Community College and is currently enrolled in Mountain State University.
Prior of becoming a certified Law Enforcement Officer in North Carolina, Sgt. Garcia was a member of the U.S. ARMY. Sgt. Garcia joined the U.S. ARMY at the age of seventeen and spent five years as an infantryman before being Honorable Discharged as he held the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Garcia's military career took him to several locations within the U.S. and abroad.
Sgt. Garcia's hard-work and dedication to the public and to the Raeford Police Department are Sgt. Garcia's primary goals.
